Finalised St Andrews and East Fife Local Plan 2009
The event is not currently available for consultation.
What is this consultation event all about?
This consultation event is seeking representations on the Finalised St Andrews & East Fife Local Plan 2009, which was approved for public consultation by Fife Council's Planning Committee on 30th June, 2009.
How can I make my comments online as part of this consultation event?
The Finalised St Andrews & East Fife Local Plan 2009 is readable online by clicking on the link below and you can make comments as you read the document by clicking on the "Add Comments" button where appropriate.
A number of supporting documents are also available to view online here (see them by clicking the "Supporting Documents" tab at the bottom of the page). In general, whilst not formally part of the Local Plan itself, these supporting documents offer additional background information that was taken into account in the writing of the Local Plan and you may find that these are relevant to you and worth viewing, in whole or in part, before you record your representations and/or objections to the Local Plan itself.
Note that the Local Plan's Action Programme is available to view by clicking the "Supporting Documents" tab below. The Action Programme is separate from, but complementary to, the Local Plan and lists the proposals for development and other actions which will help to implement the Plan strategy. The Financial Framework, which sets out the rationale for developer contributions towards essential infrastructure, forms Appendix A of the Action Programme document. Should you wish to make comments on the Financial Framework specifically, please click on the "Add Comments" tab under Policy D1 (Developer Contributions) in the Local Plan document and record them there.
Note also that the St Andrews West Visual Analysis report, comprising a Main Report and a Supplementary Report of computer-generated images, is also available to view by clicking the "Supporting Documents" tab below. Should you wish to make comments on the Visual Analysis specifically, please click on the "Add Comments" tab under Proposal STA01 in the St Andrews Settlement Plan (part of the Local Plan document) and record them there.
When you are ready to make your comments, please click on the event; then log-in (or register if you haven't already done so) and begin.
What happens at the end of the consultation period?
Your representations to the Local Plan will be fully considered by the Local & Community Policy team over the coming months and will influence whether, and where, changes may be made to the Local Plan.
Given that it is not always possible to ensure that all objections to the Local Plan can be overcome, an Examination (formerly the Public Local Inquiry stage) to deal with any unresolved objections to the Finalised St Andrews & East Fife Local Plan 2009 is likely to be required. It is currently envisaged that this Examination will take place towards the end of 2010.
